One thing about desert landscapes is there's always going to be surprises. The White Domes area of Valley of Fire in Nevada is one of those places. The entire area is all red rock except for this one area where the rock has this much lighter coloring. If you look closely, you can see the actual line where the white stops and turns back to red. Geology is so cool!
